Hi @Jo1984 I'm on Metformin Slow Release - 2 x 1000 (all taken together at night) as well as insulin (Novomix - 22units with breakfast and 16 with dinner) .I've been under 4 only twice - 3.8 once - with no feelings of hypo at all - and 3.2 once - when I did feel some efects.
Neither of these readings were fasting in the morning, so I'm presuming they weren't from Metformin, but probably a very low carb breakfast or lunch
Metformin can help you be more sensitive to insulin, that's what it is supposed to do, but in of itself will not cause hypos. You can certainly have a hypo while on it but it is unlikely that metformin is the cause
