Blood currently over 33 with ketones in urine and blood. Rung gp who said ring NHS 111, who said ring hospital, who said ring gp!!!!
Feeling really rough...

Get yourself to the hospital. Did you speak to the GP or a receptionist? Either way you have a medical emergency.

Yup, A&E immediately. Take a few days worth of clothes as you will probably have a bit of a stay.

Hopefully he is being treated in hospital and on the way to a full recovery or he has just forgotten to come back and say all is well.

Afternoon all,

Thanks for all your posts and concerns. Called 999 and was unconscious before LAS arrived, so was blue lighted to nearest hospital. Came around in HDU as they found a nasty kidney infection.
Came out after 5 days, feeling 100% better. What worries me is the distinct lack of knowledge of diabetes that nurses seem to have?

Glad your feeling much better and able to post about it here on the forum again.

I suppose it depends on your region perhaps? Have they given you lots of booklets to read up on?

So glad you're okay! Sending lots of love! Nurses CAN BE awful! Writing that in capitals because people might jump down my throat! When my hubby was admitted the hospital kept giving him sugary food and the nurses would let him eat it and give him pure orange juice if he was thirsty! I think the problem is, everyone has an opinion on diabetes! Glad you're feeling better :)

So glad to hear you are ok now! Yeah lack of knowledge from them is VERY worrying at times!
