Affects other than Hypos

Hi All,

Diagnosed with Type 1 last May age 39, and on Lantus/Novorapid.
I have got decent control with hba1c at 5.1%, but also have backgroung Retinopathy

Question is that sometimes I noitce signs of Hypos (blurry vision) and check blood which shows that it is normal (5-7).

Recently I had same symptoms and was just before a meal. I took Novorapid as it was near meal time and the blury vision disappeared almost instantly.

All I can think off is that there is some sort of drug withdrawal affect when Insulin in body is used up but not sure if this is possible? Perhaps someone with more experience could point me in right direction.

From personal experience, quick drops in blood sugar can produce hypo like symptoms, could that be happening with you?

Both hypo's and hyper's can cause blurry vision and can't see how a injection of Novorapid would instantly correct your vision :? To put your mind at rest I would have your eyes examined or mention this to your gp/diabetes consultant.
