I'm a type 2 diabetic, diagnosed for over 15 years. I've been on about all classes of .diabetes drugs. Every time I've had my HbA1C checked, about every three months, I've also had my insulin levels checked. What I've found is all diabetes drugs just raise insulin, even Metformin. All these drugs cause side effects, and having too high of insulin levels is the worst as high insulin causes, and makes worse, all chronic disease we face as humans.
Afrezza is an inhaled insulin that solves a lot of the problems with other diabetes drugs.
1) Gets into your blood and acts faster than other diabetes drugs
2) Leaves your body faster than insulin produced by pills or injecting
3) Least likely drug to cause hypos - too low blood sugar
4) I lost 11 pounds where injected insulin only makes you gain pound after pound, which makes insulin resistance worse
5) Can travel with no refrigeration required
6) Can use it in public without having to look for a place to shoot up insulin
7) More effective than inhaled insulin so you don't have to use as much
I believe it will be approved for Europe soon. Ask your doctors about it.
