Agave nectar substitute

Agave nectar is sugar syrup - something to avoid.
If you can stop sweetening foods to the same extent as before you will find that you don't need to sweeten things as much, so minimal amounts of berries or a small amount of artificial sweetener will be enough.

I agree, but i got the recipe from the low carb diet, for Apple & Cinnamon Pancakes so I just wanted to know if there is anything i could substitute it with.

I wouldn't think that particular ingredient would be necessary at all. I also imagine it calls for a small amount. Skip it all together is my advice.

There are many ways to alter recipes and simply omit the sweeteners. I'd prefer that and I steadof a syrup or sugar topping I'd use butter and a few chopped nuts or a swipe of nut butters. I would think adding fat to something like a pancake would at least help slow or lower the spike.

As someone who eats a low carb diet, I would also be looking for a substitute for the apples and most of the pancake ingredients too (except the butter and egg). I suppose I would be making a cinnamon omelette!
