Age, hypo's and stuff....

Hi
I'm not trying to combine lowcarb and low GI. I just use GI tables to guestimate how long certain foods take to digest. I follow lowered carb myself and avoid, sugars and starches most of the time. I check the Carb content of anything I eat, in books and on labels. However the GI info is useful as a guide. As far as I can find out, GI of starches depends on the bond type in the straight or branched chains. Nevertheless, ALL starches eventually become 100% blood glucose. GI tells you roughly how fast.
It's the number that gives the clue, NOT the division.
