For a while my tolerance levels have been dropping and the after effects getttin much worse. I am hazarding a guess that this coincided with the diabetes. Is this common? Have to say its quite good cos nights out are much cheaper now
Is it because you've reduced the amount you drink? I used to have a small glass with my evening meal most nights. It obviously had to stop.
I didn't drink anything for a couple of months but the consultant said I could have a couple of glasses a week but best not to have them on the same night. I feel tipsy after 1 small glass. If I have 2 then the effects last for ages and I have to drink lots of water. However it is nice to be 3-4 clothes sizes smaller......
Scandichic, I havent reduced the amount I drink. Or should I say I havent voluntarily reduced it, just cant handle it for some reason. I get STUPIDLY drunk on about half the amount I could drink a few months ago. It IS a good thing i suppose as less calories and less cost. I just wondered if anyone else had found the same and if it was down to the diabetes. I refuse to accept it as an age thing
Yep, that's it... Lol this particular mare was clumsy at the best of times.
But watching it negotiate a muddy field after raiding an orchard made this animal clearly unfit for the road...
My guess is if your not drinking as much as you did pre-diabetes then you'll notice the effects of alcohol more, tbh I've never noticed any difference, I was diagnosed aged 18 and drinking and nightclubs/pubs were my life back then
