Alcohol wipes

No.
Just soap and water and a good rinse.

I have no evidence either way, though.

I have some wipes in case I need to prick whilst I am out.

I never use wipes - too much single use landfill filler.
I have heard that the ambulance service do not use alcohol wipes before taking blood sugar readings because the alcohol can affect the readings.
On hearing this, I went from "not at the moment" to "never"

Me neither. Never use wipes before testing. It has been fine for me.

I just make sure my hands are clean all the time at the moment ...

I tend to just prick unless I know I've had something sweet on my fingers which would be rare for me.

I got cracked hands when first diagnosed as I was constantly washing them before testing. Now I just test and then wash and test again if the result seems too high or too low given the circumstances.
