Hi there I am a new to this forum, I have diabetes type 1, and I think I should find balancing a quite healthy diet easy, however I do like a drink on a weekend preference lager, I know this question has probably been asked before but what is the best kept secret, I've heard "Coors Light" can be OK ? Any others recommend?
Hi. Beers tend to have more carbs than spirits so you might need to tweak the Bolus a bit. Note that alcohol doesn't affect blood sugar by much once the carbs have been converted to it. Alcohol has calories but not carbs.

Coors light is just like normal lager it tricks you into thinking it is better for you when it just means that it is easier to drink not as gassy
If I have a drink I just make sure that I've ate before and after because I've had a hypo in the night after drinking lager all night because I had not ate
