@madasmacus I glad I helped someone. BTW My son told me the pancake mix has to stand for 10 or 15 minutes before cooking. We had a BBQ last night and I fill it up (pull down lid type oven BBQ) and have the leftovers the next day. There was steak and sausages, mushroom zucchini, carrot, and pumpkin. What I do is Pre zap the pumpkin and zucchini in the microwave. Then I put everything in the BBQ together and it all finishes cooking at the same time. Last night I also put a damper in the BBQ a bit earlier (damper is a giant scone) I had sliced damper for breakfast with margarine and sliced pickled sweet cucumbers. So from one cooking effort I ended up with meals last night for 3 of us breakfast for me and left over BBQ to have (with salad if there is not enough) for lunch. MICROWAVE is a good trick The MW is a good trick because you can par cook (prezap) to speed things up OR if something does not work out then you can ZAP it for a final cook. Slow cookers is a Fast way to cook We bought a cheap slow cooker and it is fast (min prep time) and will cook all day and be hot ready for dinner and you can get more than one meal and freeze more meals.
