Almost too low

My metered blood glucose is often below 3 and regularly below 2 making me feel quite poorly
I am on 2x500 mg of metformin 2 x per day pioglitozone 1 in the evening and one gliclazide in the morning I was on two gliclozide in the evening too but have had to stop them due to the hypo effect I am trying to lose weight but struggling due to having to eat carbs when it drops so low. Was trying a low carb diet but that only lasted a few hours until I hypoed yet again I have managed to lose 10 kgs but I feel permanently shaky and sick even more so if I dont eat bread or potatoes at every meal. My calorie intake is now about 1200 little exercise due to needing a knee replacement and very slow weight loss. Not hungry just weak and shaky and vision impaired worst at night and in late afternoon

I think if you want to try and lose weight by low , you need to go back to the doc and discuss your medication.

Definitely go back and talk to your doctor about it, you shouldn't be feeling like that all the time.

Completely unrelated to your post, but is your username related to a (large) pet you might have?

To my simple non-medical mind, that seems like a LOT of medication . Metformin,Piogliatazone and gliclazide
Are you by any chance trying to reduce carbs as well? If so you may well need a reduction in medication

Yes we have two large chunky highland ponies a Dartmoor and a Connemara all of which are very expensive lawnmowers :D at the minute. I do think the problem is too much medication and trying to lose weight I am due back at the clinic next month so will ask then about cutting it back even more I was on 240 mg of glicazide so I has already been reduced by two thirds
