Alternative medication?

I dont use metformin. It makes my tummy upset, too. It is the possible side effect, as its written on the prospectus.

I have been on metformin for 12 years until it was no longer suitable. I had issues with it ..bad stomach with acute diaohorrea. was taken off it put on metformin SR did the same thing changed to glicazide but not really helping at my wits end as I don't want to go on insulin..HELP.

If you want to avoid insulin maybe tweaking your diet will help. What do you typically eat in a day.
