Cinnamon (certainly in the quantities required to have any significant impact on BG) will likely cause you more harm than good.

Exercise and diet will be more effective than anything else. Personally, I wouldn't waste your time or money...

Michael Mosley says that the jury is out on cumin and turmeric but that cinnamon is showing promise.

In the Asian culture and traditional chinese medication the following are used regularly to help with improving glucose level...
- Bitter melon tea
- Tartary Buckwheat tea
- Mulberry Leaves/tea
- Puer/Tieguanyin/Oolong tea

Your mileage may vary....

Then there is Fenugreek which has been used medicinally since ancient Egyptian times and is thought to reduce blood sugars.

"A uterine stimulant; should be avoided during pregnancy. The aerial parts may be used during labor.

Insulin-dependent diabetics should seek professional medical advice before using fenugreek as a hypoglycemic."
