I'm suffering from my first bout of gastroentritis since being diagnosed two years ago...I automatically went for a sachet of dioralyte but read the "consult GP" blurb if diabetic - as it's Sunday I thought I'd be better off reaching out to the forum to see if I should risk it or if there's an alternative or stick it out until tomorrow with plain water!

Dioralyte contains some glucose:

Reading your profile, I note you are taking Glucoside. Bearing in mind how this drug works, and the fact you may not be eating too much, I might be inclined to call 111 and ask for their guidance for the immediate 24 hours. In the meantime, drink plenty of fluids - water, dilutes sugar-free squash or diet drinks. I wouldn't usually advocate diet coke/lemonade, or the like, but they contain a certain amount of salt, which can be helpful if you are a bit dehydrated.
