Hi,
Test prior to the meal.
Then give it about two hours & test again? "Seven point something" isn't major cause for alarm in my opinion, if that's as high as it gets & taking into account a possible upto 15% meter error too?
My non D wife & I have experimented like this. Same meal. I injected for mine. Two hours later I was 6.5. my wife in the 7s.
But she had also polished off a 200g bag of chocolate coated raisins too.
All she saw was a higher number than me, (then the look of worry.) I reassured her the same way I'm informing you.
She's had the checks since as a matter of course.. All OK.
It's great you have a meter. But.
Nobody can diagnose. On a few random checks.
Any concerns you have are best met at your doctors.
Please keep us posted on how you're getting on.
