I was diagnosed officially in March this year, although I'd been made aware that I had impaired fasting glycaemia for a while before that. I began to take control in June. Occasionally, I would get a reading in the 5s - maybe twice a week in a week when I would be testing at least 3 times a day ( often much more ).
I've gone fairly low carb - follow a low GL diet and take chromium supplements, I've lost lost over a stone, my cholesterol has come down but the good stuff has gone up - and suddenly much to my amazement I am getting regular readings in the 5s.
I read so many stories of people getting almost instant amazing changes, but mine seem to be slow and steady.
Has anyone has this trend happen, and does it keep getting better??? I'm crossing my fingers
