All Since last week, I have had problems with my thirst centre - have been extremely thirsty, and this was too after coming of a holiday of three weeks (which was fabulous), straight working into strenuous night shifts. My diet was completely normal during my holiday period, to be honest had too much of greenery and fibre packed food items. On immediate rest day, I decided to counter-attack my thirstiness by engulfing truck loads of water which made the the issue worse as my tongue started to taste all funny and had a highly over reactive bladder which was obvious enough for me to convince myself. Thereafter my issue with the thirst centre seems to have resolved - but still I have the urge to urinate frequently in very small quantities. Henceforth, I eventually decided to carry out a finger prick test to check for blood glucose level before and after (2 hours approx.) meals. The following Results came up: Before Meals - 5.6 mmol/L After Meals - 6.4 mmol/L On the same day, the GP has taken both my blood and urine for blood glucose on fasting - still awaiting on result to come through. I should also admit that I am overweight as well .(Male - 25 82 KGS - 5"8 height) and actively working out to bring down my weight down to about 75 KG. Do I have to be concerned too much about the outcome or am I in the wrong discussion forum ???? Thanks in advance
