Yes, you are right, it is at the top of the non diabetic range, but your fastings are well below.
All you can do is tweak your diet. No doctor will medicate you with those results. Read round the forums and learn about the role of carbohydrates. Particularly starchy ones, potatoes, rice, pasta, bread, cereals and of course the sugary stuff. Reduce the quantities of those, keep to small portions and fill up on vegetables and non starchy foods. Diet is the key.
Thank you for your comments.
You see my worry is that my HbA1c is at the top of the normal range at 41.
If it goes about this I think 42 - 48 then I am pre-diabetic.
Is this correct - what can I do to bring it down below 41?
Well done!
Hi,just been told I am pre diabetic with a reading of 6.5,what foods should I not be eating to get my levels down?all this is a complete surprise to me

It may be better if you start your own thread. You will then get a lot more answers and help. Have you worked out how to do this?
I don't know how to do that!
