Hello all,
This is my first time posting, so bear with me. I am 16 and have been diagnosed with T1 for 8 years, and never had a HbA1c under 10.
Anyway, after meeting many T1s, I have noticed my doses being much higher than everyone else's. I know that it varies for everyone, but still.
I used to take 60 Lantus in the evening, 20 novorapid at breakfast and lunch and 25 novorapid for dinner.
My Insulin got changed to novomix as I was in a bad spot for a while and kept missing doses. So now I take 76 novomix 30 in the morning and 38 at night. I also keep having to correct a couple times a day with rapid as I can't get novomix to work for me. I do change sites somewhat to make sure I don't develop scar tissue.
My question is, is this actually a lot of insulin, or am I overthinking it?
