They have finally decided to start me on insulin for my type 2, on Monday after my blood readings were between 14 and 25 for the past month. Apart from thirst, my main symptoms have been such an overwhelming tiredness, although my GP says its not usual to have many symptoms like these unless readings were much higher?

Im so pleased that at last Im going to get my blood glucose down, as glicazide didnt help at all, although Im tolerating metformin better on the sr formula.

My main question is will the tiredness go quickly? Its dreadfull and has been so very hard to drag myself about. I work from home at present which is just as well, because I have no energy to go out at the moment.

Sorry if this is a silly question, but so hoping im going to feel better quickly,

Has anyone else any experiences similar?

Hi
Having high sugars can make you feel lifeless, moody. With insulin you can have a better control, but don't expect miracles straight away, it all takes time until you get on a proper regime, You may find they have to adjust the amounts over a period of time, but just listen to what your told, keep an extra eye on your blood sugars, and watch your in take of carbohydrate.
Keep in touch andd hope all goes well on Monday.
