Amlodipine - sore heels

@lynbrown I don't know the answer. But I couldn't tolerate the pain and swelling in my feet, ankles and lower legs so my GP changed me onto Lacidipine and I have had no side effects at all since. Hope this helps.

The most common side effect of the (very good) antihypertensive drug amlodipine is ankle/lower leg edema (swelling) which almost exclusively happens at the 10mg dose rarely at 5mg. When an ACEI BP drug is added it happens even less. Diuretics do not get rid of it, you have to lower the dose usually, or stop it, and it goes away.
