An interesting article about insulin costs in the US

Gosh, that's astonishing - “my insulin now costs more than my home mortgage.” !!!!

Feeling very fortunate to be looked after by the NHS.

Thanks for sharing, @tim2000s .

Wow - we may knock our HCP sometimes but we are so very very fortunate in this country to have the NHS, I am very grateful for it

I'm grateful where I live it is subsidised as well. I pay about $35 for 5 boxes. Those same 5 boxes (25 pens) without the subsidy cost $500 here. I got a scare once when I took a script from my endo to the pharmacy and they didn't accept his script as it was not the right type of script or something or rather. They told me I had to pay $500 to pick up my apidra if I wanted it now, or I had to go to my doc and get the correct script they require. Ouch. Of course I managed to get the right script.
