Hi all.
After a number of years of being pre diabetic (not that I realized I was as it was not a term my GP ever used) my annual fasting test this summer resulted in my diagnosis as type 2.
Although I have been working to keep my carb and sugar intake down my readings in the morning seem to be steadily increasing, which is starting to be a concern. Initially they were around 7.5 but in the last few weeks have risen and are now nearer 10.
I have also returned to the gym and go regularly throughout the week but have noticed when doing CV that my left foot gets numb as I exercise, which is a weird feeling. Is this common or should I be concerned?
All this coupled with the fact I suffer with IBS and have problems in getting a good nights sleep (I thought I just got hot in the night but now realize after reading some of the content of this site these are probably night sweats) has woken me up to the reality of the situation. So apologies in advance if I end up asking stupid questions but I suspect I am going to be on a steep learning curve over the coming months and will need to make some urgent lifestyle changes. So all advice will be very gratefully received.
Many thanks
Clive
