yes but if they are bought from the chemist that is not going through Lighter LifeWell you do need a doctor's agreement, Lighter Life won't let you on without one.

Well what I meant eas to actually use the Lighter life products which you can buy from Superdrug, but yes without the support. I thought the Dr might not agree because I have heard some worrying things about Lighter Life and Ketosis (not Ketoacidosis) that can cause Kidney stones and irregular heart rythms. think because it is so low in calories and burns fat quickly.Ok I think I get you. You are asking if you can do a very low carb diet, similar to Lighter Life, but cheaper and without the support and without a doctor's letter? I think Exante let you buy their stuff without a doctor's letter.
If you are actually overweight, why do you think the doctor wouldn't agree?

ThanksLighter Life is a lot more than just the food packs. It has integrated therapy and support sessions.

thanks for all the advice. I have tried their packs for a few days now to replace certain meals and then eating a healthy meal at night. What I do like about the packs is that although they are small qhantities they fill you up (I guess there is some sort of bulking agent in there) The other good thing for me is that as there is no shopping/cooking/prep of normal food. I find I can 'detatch' myself from food more. Also as they are not the tastiest morsels in the world I don't spend hours in anticipation, it's just fuel.Sorry... That sounded very cruel....not intended. Just that my sis in law was determined that lighter life had taught her all about nutrition and how to maintain weight after... I told her less carbs n now she doing it very successfully.
Sorry for sounding cruel. If specialised diets work, great....

did the LL diet cause her any health problems? a freind of mine did it and got kidney stones but then he may not have drunk enough waterTalking to a friend last night and she said that she had been so worried about a friend of hers that lost so much weight on lighter life that she got totally hooked and found it extremely hard to stop the lighter life diet and return to eating a normal diet.
She did return to a normal eating diet after about 9 months and has kept her weight off (apparently very thin now) and she goes out running everyday and exercising constantly to maintain the thin body...
