Just an update from my last thread.. to everyone that thinks iam in denial etc etc... i smoke drink etc etc but i also take my jabs eat regualr drink water when not thirsty and test at least 7 times a day, may sound harsh just trying to spell out a few things ok us diabetics are suppose to have a shorter life span. you may get the odd one with no dispisrespect thats lasted along time with type one, but that just shows me not inspiration but the desparation that there trying to get us to be inspired, yes you can have a life but iam saying now on the whole its a calcualted everyday process that you cannot ignore... shock tactics is a load of *****. my advice is for every diabetic is to do what your doing if things get **** adjust your your dose slightly very slighty and see what happens but above all that and i mean above all that tell people you love them and have a laugh with them. because everyday you do that you gain an extra day of life id rather have one good day than 10 normal routine days.
Ive come on here to help out did i have to say ive had a drink?? iam honest at least!! maybe the more people who were they wouldnt be as many problems and by the sound of things you seem to put your two penith worth in every chat going so unless uv got nothing constructive to say i suggest u go back being the perfect person and diabetic you are NOT!
I have never claimed to be the perfect person or diabetic I doubt they exist... however I do accept that I have responsibilities to myself and my partner / family. If you want to drink and eat **** and have poor control go ahead and do it.. frankly it doesn't both me.. if you want to die young and leave your wife on her own because of your own idiocy and selfishness then perhaps you should get her to read your posts now so she can make her own mind up on if she wants to stick around to see you ruin yourself?
Its not easy; we all live with it every day we all understand that pressure.. but like it or not you have responsibilities to others not just yourself so perhaps you should stop thinking just about yourself and consider your actions.. and then consider how you can go about and change your life...
There are plenty of us on this forum myself included who have been in your position; had poor control and been idiots in the past.. there are also plenty of us here myself included who would be more than willing to spend time helping you to control your diabetes.. maybe you want that maybe you just want to rant about how unfair it all is... when you decide that you do want to improve your diabetes then PM me I will be more than willing to try and support you.
Until then I would suggest you go sober up and come back and post on here when you have a clear head.. I would also suggest if you have drunk the volume of alcohol that you claim to have then you make sure that your wife keeps an eye on you tonight.. and you keep an eye on your blood glucose.
