Animal fact game

so one of us posts a animal fact and then someone has to post another fact but with an animal starting with the last letter.

For example:

My example: A meerkat has black rings around their eyes to protect them against the suns glare. It’s their built in sunglasses lol.

So the next person has to post a fact about a animal that begins with T

No offense but you got the game wrong you were meant to say fact about an animal begging with S as I put skinks (last letter is S not b)

Well since we seem to be ending up with everything beginning with S due to all the plurals, I'll do a very singular donkey who as the legend goes, now carries the symbol of a cross on its back as it once carried Jesus to Jerusalem for his crucifixion.
 
Yellowhammer which where I am from (SE US) is a type of flicker, which is not in the same family as the yellowhammer of Europe, which is in the bunting family.
