Did you have holiday cancellation insurance as this would be a good reason to claim?  Could you afford to hire a caravan for this time? Hope you do eventually visit cornwall which is a lovely part of the UK. We used to have a caravan and a Jack Russell dog as well. Sadly our Susie passed away in April.</blockquote>
