Hello everyone. Could someone cast an experienced eye over my latest results, before my GP phones me to discuss them? My HbA1c is now 32mmol/mol. Previous results were 99 in August 2019, when I was diagnosed with diabetes. I started the keto lifestyle and the HbA1c was 68 in October 2019 and 46in December 2019. I'm very pleased with the new result. Total Cholesterol is now 8.9mmol/l. Previous results were 5.9 in August 2019 and 6.3 in October 2019. HDL is now 1.9mmol/l. Previous results were, 1.5 on August 2019 and 1.3 in October 2019. I think anything over 1.5mmol/l is a good result? LDL is now 6.5mmol/l. Worried about this one. Should it be under 2mmol/l? If so, think my GP will try and talk me into taking statins. Triglycerides are now 1.0mmol/l. Test was not a fasting one. Previous results were 1.4 on August 2019 and 0.9 on October 2019. I think this is ok? Creatinine levels are 57 umol/l now. Previous levels were 61 in August 2019 and 71 in October 2019. eGFR is 60. I have been on Metformin 500mg twice daily since August 2019. Do you think I should try and come off the Metformin as HbA1c is now 32? Or remain on it. Also, what to do about my cholesterol levels? Sorry for the long post. Hope someone can point me in the right direction. Thanks.
