Annual review - clean bill of health

Finally got to see my diabetes nurse today for my annual review after my blood tests last month. All good news. HbA1c 41, cholesterol levels Ok (total a bit high at 5.4, but HDL was 1.8 and trig was 0.6 so ratios are all good). All other blood results in normal range. Told to carry on doing what I am doing, get bloods retested in 6 months and have another review in 12 months. I am very happy. Seem to have found a regime that works for me (although it doesn't stop me craving "normal" food every once in a while!).
Thanks again to all those on the forum providing advice and inspiration.

Diagnosed a year ago with type 2 and have 3 stone since then. HBA1C at diagnosis was 44 and has now come down to 39.☺
