Hi All,
Karen here. Have been a T2 diabetic for quite some time but, due to non-helpful information from my doctor on being diagnosed, my sugars spiralled over the years which ended up with me, 6 weeks ago, in A&E to be diagnosed with DKA, emergency surgery to remove my badly infected gallbladder & then spending 8 days in ICU and HDU. What a wake up call!! I am so glad to have found this website and have signed up for the Low Carb Program. I am looking forward to learning all I can from you lovely people. Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks.
You have found an amazing site. This site changed my life and I am sure you will receive the same help and support I received.
If you have not already done so I highly recommend getting a meter. The meter is the tool that will help you work out exactly what effect different foods have on your levels and allow you to make choices based on that information.
