Sometimes ill check my blood sugar and its 8.4 and im like HOW THE HELL is it 8.4, so I decide to check it again and its 5.9 like do any of these things even work, its driving me crazy.
Here's a perfect example, im checking my 2 hour post meal, I havent moved a inch and its still 8.3 two hours later so I got up and ran up the stairs and back down and now its 6.3 literally 1 minute later...
Maybe my circulation sucks sitting down or something?
I was just sitting on my duff counting the minutes to test lol... maybe I just solved my own question
Many reasons. Meter inaccuracy (the +- 15% tolerance), corrupted strips, human error, speck of dust/food/soap on finger. They can be annoying, but they are all we have. Just record and move on.
Yes completely agree - I had the shock of my life after having less than 15g of carbs my meter said 11 until I realised I had hulled the strawberries and not washed my hands. It was more like 6 after that. Clean and dry hands are quite important I think. I typically take the first reading as read - but if it is high and I take another which is low - then I tend to spoil myself and take a third to see if there were a rouge one.
