antibiotics abd blood sugars

i have type 1 diabetes controlled by insulin (lantus solostar and novorapid.
i am currently on antibiotics ceftriaxone daily injections and rifadin 300 mg capsules also metrodazole 400gm tablets. my blood sugars are currently running very high at 24.6 despite corrective doses of novorapid is this a usual thing on this antibiotic?

I suspect you'll find that it is the infection you are being treated for which is causing the high blood sugars. I doubt it is the antibiotics, but if in doubt talk to your doctor.
