Hi all,
I was diagnosed in November as Type 1 diabetic. It had likely been going undetected a few months. Dr Google led me to believe it might be leukemia briefly but by the time I booked an appointment to explore and waited 3 weeks for this to come around, I ended up in hospital with dka where I was then diagnosed. I still worry that I had a lot of pain where I would guess my pancreas is but no CT scan or so (it was passed off as probs musculoskeletal) and that it was so out of the blue with no family history, but that's probs a whole other post!
During this time and to the present, I've been noticing the physical symptoms of anxiety so much more intensely, and I'm curious if this has happened to anyone else?
I've had the same job for approx 4 years, and have always been nervous before meetings and presentations and dreaded them, but they're a regular part of my job (and after I usually get a little euphoric as a weird contrast!) Before diabetes, this would mainly be an internal feeling of anxiety, but since approx Sept, I am unbelievably shaky not just before, but during meetings for the whole hour or sometimes more. It doesn't seem related to my blood sugars (I wear a libre sensor to see what it's up to all the time) and doesn't happen when I'm not in work like weekends or so, so seems to be related to adrenalin and anxiety, but just have no idea why it's so much more intense now?
Any thoughts or shared experience greatly appreciated
