Any Body use Almond Breeze

Hi,

Have you tried Lactofree milk?
Mr B is lactose intolerant, and finds it fine.

If you want to make your own almond milk, there are instructions here.
It is incredibly easy, and much cheaper than buying it.

But I'm afraid I can't give you any suggestions for using it, except for substituting it for milk in anything you like.

Maybe someone else will be along in a bit with some better ideas. :)

recipes for almond milk are on the net...grind/food processor almonds, add water and squeeze in cloth, drink almond water, now called almond milk and use the almond pulp in cooking

same way you make coconut milk

It's great as a milk replacement, except in tea or coffee because it separates. Great as a milk replacement in coco though.

I use it in sugar free jelly, though as others have said, it can curdle, which spoils the appearance, (though not the taste, it doesn't have a distinctive taste anyway). I add the jelly crystals to a small cup of boiling water, stir really well to dissolve the crystals, add a small cup of very cold water, then top up to just over a pint with cold sugar free almond milk, whisking or stirring well. Then chill in fridge until set. Curdling occurs more frequently with some flavours then others, but it's not a big deal. I like this as a change from water based jellies.
