So about a week ago i started drinking lots of water and 1 day ago i ended in hospital with blood sugar over 300.
I am 21 year old man, don't have diabetes in family, didn't have blood sugar problems before, 181 cm and 82 kg (i go to gym and lead an active life).
I had a huge stress in the past 3 weeks, also eaten not so good (i generarly eat balanced). I also gained weight in the past 2 weeks.
Any chance i might not have diabetes or at least not type 1?
I am awaiting diagnosis but i can't have any peace of mind until i find out.
The doctor said it's very unusual.

In the hospital i got maximum 180 blood sugar in the morning before eating. Otherwise it stayed in the 100-140 range but i took insulin before every meal.

Hang in there hereonout! Sounds like you've had a bit of a shock with your blood sugar. I'm Type 2 diagnosed 7 months and I don't have enough experience of what you describe is happening with you to give you any information here but keep checking the forum because someone who knows more than I will soon be along to give you some pointers. One way or another, even if you don't like the diagnosis, at least once you get a diagnosis you then have something to work with and to learn how to manage. For now, you're in limbo, but just wait it out. Where diet is concerned, it's best to keep your carbs on the low side, so cut down or stop eating bread, potatoes, rice, pasta, cakes, pastries etc as they all convert to glucose in the body.

Stick with the forum, everyone will help and support you.

I am recently diagnosed. I have realised that it was brought on by diet and definitely stress. When stressed at work my BS sky rockets. I am thinking about leaving my job. I am trying to manage without medicine and that stress is going to beat me if I am not careful. We have got to keep our stress levels in check.

I apparently have an hba1c level of 6,54% which i think it's not good news.
Anyway i am trying to get used to this thought and i know it's not really life ending. I just hope it's something i can treat with lots of diet and not many medicine.

Don't worry about the 'diet' thing ... you'll be eating better than you ever have in your life ... this is how some people with diabetes choose to eat ... it suits me very well and a lot of other medical conditions seem to have cleared up as a result of my change in diet ... asthma, IBS, chronic fatigue and depression being a few of them!

Thanks GraceK, now i accepted it and i am moving on to obssesive control

Ha! Good for you. Nothing wrong with being obsessive in the right context. I was in 'obsessive control' for about 6 months, felt great. In fact felt so great that I came out of 'obsessive control' and started adding a few bits to my diet to 'test myself'. I think that must be another phase ... 'testing phase' ... just to make sure I really AM doing the right thing in being 'obsessive'.

So far, 'obsessive' is still good.
