I have been doing DIY, decorating and I am going to make a little decorative blind for my small downstairs loo window, 14 ins x 14 ins, I normally have some net up at the window, but I want to make something myself and a little different.
Also I will need a little help or advice about a toy plane I bought, but I will take a photo and try to upload it soon. with more info.

Generally they look like this. Wings in the middle, tail at the back end and driving section at the front. The wheels are normally found underneath.:D:D..........................plane.jpg

Honestly adrain,:stop: :p

I bought this plane in a little shop in Salisbury, it was in the sale for £2.00 from £16.99.:) The back wheel is off and the little bar the wheel goes on isn't there. Also ( but the lady didn't tell me this)

the propeller doesn't appear to work, I'm hoping to give it to my dad, as he flew in planes as a paratrooper, any good and sensible ideas on this.:D would be great. Many thanks RRB :) ps I will be out for the morning.

Hi RRB

Was trying to find out some info on the model plane on the net. Is it tinplate or plastic? Is there any chance that you could take some photos of the plane and close ups of what is broken and PM them to me.

Did you get all those in one box? What, and they all had the same bits missing? Oh and why is "the house of love" picture the wrong way round?:D

Hi RRB

My OH has been looking at yr photos and can probably make you a back wheel for the plane out of aluminium or Humbrol paintpot lid :) and make the bar for it to slide onto but not sure what diameter it would need to be?? Also, the propeller wont work as we think that it needs a key to wind it up (clockwork?) Look at the side of the plane for a key to slide in. It will be near the black wheels. We have a key that you can have if that's what you need

Thank you for taking the time to get back to me, it's very kind of you to help out. I have the back wheel, well did have, it fell out of the box and rolled somewhere, but I'm sure I will find it in the morning. I can't see a key anywhere, there are no instructions in the box and it's the small bar that is missing that holds the back wheel, the width between the two points in about 1 cm. That's probably why it was £2 instead of £16.99, but it's a lovely little plane.

Many thanks :)

RRB

You might be able to use a sewing pin to push through the backwheel to keep it on the plane or a thin nail. Have a look at the top of the plane around the side where the propeller is to see if there is a slot hole somewhere to take a clockwork model key?

Hi,to the left of the cockpit, just below, there is a plastic blue bar sticking out, opposite side, right side, just a small empty hole ? The pin or small nail sounds good. Thank you.
