Afternoon all,

Today is Dolphin day, not to be confused with diabetes day.

Sometimes we all need a little refreshing change of chat, from "our" situations now and again making connection yes or no?

The change of topic is dolphins and ask if there is anyone out there who is a Dolphin lover or passionate about Dolphins, like myself, if so, would love to hear from you, your thoughts ideas or just chat.

My story of passion of dolphins started from swimming daily in the surf in Australia Byron Bay for 13 years, an experience to be swimming in the pacific ocean, in their backyard environment, to suddenly an odd time feel a nudge or be face to face with these gorgeous creatures, letting you know "it is play time in the surf", are experiences one cannot put into words is such a wonderful amazing situation. I feel in love with dolphins instantly, highly intelligent, help save surfers in distress, help save seals from sharks, help fisherman in countries rounding in fish, and more, also, they too in their pods have families, yes really.

I am advocate here on Island of Mallorca now retired able to give all my passion support to Ric O.Barry, who is he many may say, he is the man who trained "flipper" the Dolphin some may remember many years ago, TV programme in the states? he felt he made a monster by training Flipper i.e. Seaworlds as of today started due to this, " dolphins in captivity for show purposes" for the past 40 years has strived to put right that wrong doing. If the phone rings anywhere in the world Ric O.Barry is the man who goes to try and help a dolphin, so I am honored and it is a great privilege to be supporting him and Son Lincoln in any way possible here on the Island of Mallorca raising root message where and when possible, "free dolphins from captivity," especially through tourism, to try via this avenue for responsible tourism, to ask tourists not to buy a ticket to a dolphin show instead, why not go on a beautiful catamaran sail, and see the dolphins in their natural environment is the message of the day instead of seeing beautiful dolphins in a cement tank, they swim up to 40 miles a day, but are left bobbing up and down in small enclosures instead. My input here on the Island is whizzing around in my little fiat panda with dolphin logos on the side, putting out a message, dolphins should be "Wild and Free" www.dolphinproject.net so if your here on the Island, and see this little car, you will know thats Member Pollensa!

So, if any of you out there, feel the same, especially involved in tourism, even if not, would love to hear from you to chat now and again about Dolphins, whats happening in the Dolphin world as a change to the Diabetes world, sometimes its nice to step back refresh and get connected on other subjects to.

Look forward to having some dolphin chat now and again?

Will close this different topic by sending flippers crossed wishes, that your all having a good day today with your diabetes control today.

I used to work with a colleague who was absolutely dolphin mad!.. Dolphins all over the place!,, Dolphin ornaments on her desk, soft toy dolphins, dolphin shaped car air fresheners, a dolphin tattoo on one of her buttocks, a dolphin trinket charm necklace, mug with a big dolphin on it, a pencil case with dolphins all over it and a cat.......... Called Flipper...

Dolphins have come up the Burnett River here in Bundaberg to have a look at what's going on in town. This mostly happens when the whale watching season is on.

Tin Can Bay on the Sunshine coast have had a Dolphin interaction for years.
