If the soreness and redness is die to the dry skin, then Try washing your feet with an emoiliant like aquous cream (you can get this from boots) instead of soap, dry feet well and then use a good moisturizing cream. I am currently using Jeregens body cream its great and works for hours after applied.
But I would still suggest getting your feel looked over if not by your gp then your practice nurse.

I would get your feet checked out by your gp or podiatrist, this way they can advise on treatment and suitable creams etc, as some moisturising creams are unsuitable for people with diabetes.
