okra. Cigarette smoke, old, new, and permeating a room, wafting from a balcony, etc etc. That I have so many chronic diseases. That I take so very many meds. Being cold. Anything too loud, but specifically non-classical music and the television.
I am here sautéing onions for Mr ZF’s quiche and I want to eat them all right now! Or at least have lots in my own quiche.
So if I chopped up onions and put them raw in, say, cream for overnight... would it curdle? Would the resulting quiche taste like onion? I know, I know, try it and see. But on the off chance....
Thanks for ideas!IMG_7395.jpg

Not onion but my other half made himself some duck legs slow roasted in the oven with some garlic. We then drained off the fat and garlic pieces and used it to pan fry some sea bream the next day which he said was very tasty.. I just had my steak (because I'm only having beef for a month). I can't see why it wouldn't work for onion too not sure about cream though...

@zauberflote , as others have said, you could try it. My guess would be the flavour would be very different to sauted onion.

@bulkbiker what he did I’ve done, so we know that’s good- and I didn’t even think of it when it was literally staring me in the face! Thank you for bringing it up
I’m afraid, @DCUKMod , that you’re right. And @Antje77 I sure will! Thanks you three

Slow roasted duck leg one day, pan fried sea bream the next... Remind me to come over to your place some time around dinner time!

I had Seabass done in foil with lots of butter, some salt and pepper. I cooked it in the Airfryer. I then put some veg in a roasting tin with Italian herbs, Garlic and a pinch of chilli flakes, seasoning. It was lovely and very filling. I had Seabream a couple of weeks ago, and panfried in butter, Garlic a little lemon juice. Yummy
