Hi all!

I was a bit annoyed recently about a lot of posts "if you eat a big cake, you'll get diabetes" on 9gag, so I decided to make a meme. It's not a lot, but since that site is very popular, I thought that it may reach some young people who will think twice about D. If at least 1 person stops being ignorant about D thanks to that, I'll be happy

Actually it seems sugar does cause diabetes type 2.

It's a bit more complicated than that. You're not going to get type 2 from eating a cake.
I wanted to point against things like this:

I find the math test answer hilarious.

Of course a single piece of cake won't cause diabetes but there is an increasing body of evidence that sugar does cause diabetes on a population level at least and the mechanism behind it seems to be fructose that is culprit on the individual level. So I can't see a problem with Sugar causes diabetes. Not that I ever had much sugar so you can catch it anyway, it doesn't have to be due to a high sugar consumption.
