Anyone been told you have to buy pump batteries now?

Ohhhh Sorry

Should have read the message before yours JANROU.........

Yes I have, I am on a Animas pump, and got told last week, they don't supply the batteries any more. I've still got a few left over, but will obviously be needing more for the future. Animas suggested I try the supermarket, but I know they can be expensive, would if be cheaper to buy online?

Could be, its getting a bit worrying all these new rules, I keep hearing about type 1's having test strips reduced. I do up to 10 tests a day, really hope they don't bring this in?

I'm coming to this thread a bit late but yes we've been told the same by Animas, something to do with postage regulations. My daughter's pump ran low on battery over a weekend and I didn't have any spares at home (bad me!) so used a rechargeable AA battery until I could phone on the Monday to order replacements. The rechargeable battery lasted a little over 24 hours before showing low battery on the pump - the lithium batteries usually last around 3 months. I bought lithium batteries from Tesco as didn't want to risk the pump going flat. When I phoned Animas on the Monday to order replacements they told me batteries couldn't be sent due to the postage regulations and the expense that would be involved to send them with a courier, I guess I can understand that. I'll be buying from amazon in future as that's the best price I've found so far.
