You might want to ask your doctor about gastroparesis as your symptoms sound a lot like this condition, which is fairly common in T1. It can also make your BGs fluctuate a lot. There are other conditions that have these symptoms so you will probably need to have some tests to see what is going on.hi recently iv been experiencing stomach and constipation problems and acid iv not been able to go toilet properly also my stomach never feels hungry literally which is really worrying also i feel as thow food is not going down sometimes feel stuck up my throat and if i manage to go toilet its never normal. my blood sugar were never perfect last time i went doc he said my control is a bit high for a daibetic type 1 for some reason iv always found maintaining my sugar levels really hard im on novorapid and levemir please feel free to message me or post on here
I don't know but it's worth a try, and improved sugar levels are good anyway. I'm thinking my delayed gastric emptying is caused by something unrelated to diabetes as I have T2 and it's rare for us to get the disorder unless we've had high BGs for years, and I haven't. But I think T1s can get it even if their BGs have been well controlled.hi thank you for replys i will contact docs on monday does anyone know if this gastroparesis can better if sugar level control improves?

What does the CF stand for? What signs and symptoms would someone have in order to get tested for this gene? Several in my family have gut motility problems and I'd like to know if there is something we can pin it down to. Thanks.Hi,
Yes, maybe we're in the same boat? I have Gastroparesis after 40+ years of Diabetes. It started out just like you: constipation, never feeling hungry, food stuck in my throat . Then it got worse. I lost 23kg, got anemic, couldn't eat anything, vomited, a lot of gas, a lot of abdominal pain, weak muscles and so on.
I have always had quite balanced bloodsugar. HbA1c has always been between 40 and 62, not very bad. The reason I got Gastroparesis is due to genetic predisposition. In my family we all are carriers of the CF-gene, which cause a lot of problems in the stomach. Toghether with Diabetes, my first complication wasn't my eyes or anything "usual", it was my stomach that took harm first.
