Hey you guys. The drugs won't really get working in your system for about a month. I've been on 500mg, 3x daily with meals, for about 18 months now. The only side affects I have is more wind, but that could be down to the change in more of a fiber diet when I was diagnosed 2 years ago (type 2). It seems when the drug takes effect, maybe 1.5-2 hours, I feel hungry again and maybe snack on something healthy. It's probably to early to tell yet, just eat when you can little and often as they suggest, and keep monitoring with your test strips to see how it is affecting you. Obviously you want to avoid having a hypo as it could drop your levels right down if your not taking it with food consumption as that is how mine is prescribed. I don't really know what your diet is and exercise regime if any, which again may alter the effects or how yours is prescribed to be used. Just gotta run with it and keep a log of how it is affecting your body. If does the job it's suppose to do then it;s all good. If you find it's giving you bad side affects, then you can go back to your doctor and ask for a different prescription. Hope all goes well.
