At my last Clinic, the doctor said my average reading at 8.5 was too high. She said she would put me on the above drug, to bring down the sugar. She did warn it could lead to urine infections. I have just read about this drug online and it sounds like a horror story. All sorts of dire warnings and possible side effects. Anyone here been on it? I take so many meds and I just don't want more.
I am T2, on insulin, metformin, 2 HBP tablets , statins, aspirin and angina tablets.

Hi Lyn - I can't think of anyone specific who is on it, but we have had a couple of people who have done extremely well on it, once they got used to the idea they had to drink plenty water, because of how the medication works, weeing out the sugar.

There have been some who have also suffered UTIs and thrush, so it's like most drugs; some will experience side effects and some will do very well.
