Hi longtimer30,its a fact of diabetes: disease affecting the nerves ,due th high levels of bs's over a period of time,so yes you can get affected anywhere in your body.but the good news is it can with a good regime be reversed for some people, i have suffered with neuropathy in the feet, but since losing 3st8lbs and getting my bs down from26.8 to todays 3.7mmol ,it worked for me and neuropathy has goneI've had swollen index finger for nearly a year am on naproxen they thought was arthritis but blood tests showed it's not, since had x ray and nothing abnormal. Went for healthy heart check and the nurse said may be worth talking to consultat when I go clinic ad could be I have neuropathy. Never knew you could get it anywhere other than feet. Shows how niave I've been.
Said nothing they could do but at least I would know X
