I’m on Gliclazide 160mg daily taken in the morning only cos of previous hypos during the night.
I didn’t want to carb load as I was asked to do by the docs at night which would then give me high numbers in the morning and continue through to lunchtime and not help my HBA1c in the long term.
So he reluctantly agreed to trial mornings only and it’s working cos I’ve got down to 86 to 58 in 3 months with tweaks too the diet also.
My question is long term care how long to stay on Gliclazide cos I know pancreas can be fickle and change things up on the fly.
What is the longest someone has been on this med and did great on it or even ok
