anyone taking iron?

Just a quickie. Have to take Solgar Gentle iron capsules starting today. They *say* they don't cause constipation. Anyone proved this yet? Anyone know if they have carbs in them??

Dragongirl,

I was found to be low in iron at the begining of last year, had to take iron tablets for 3 months. They can cause constipation, so best eat plenty of fruit and veg, but they can also make your stools black :shock: this will be explained on the information provided. Don't think that carbs are a issue with them, I didn't notice them effecting bg's.

Thanks Nigel. I think I meant, had anyone tried Solgar Gentle and found them indeed to be non-constipatory. I guess I will soon find out! I know other makes do - been there before.
