i like the look of this pump for my ten year old son.
apparently it's the lightest pump, which i think is important on a kid.
also, we really want a remote, so that he doesn't have to keep on putting the pump on show, and the remote on this one looks so much better than the 'brick' that comes with the roche pump.

any help please???

I think there are a couple of Dana users here, I've been looking at that one too, I'm hoping to get a pumop soon and that's the one I would choose I think

Hi!
My 5 yr old daughter started on this pump 3 weeks ago. This pump is great! Very light weight & small and so is the remote. A good choice of colours too. The remote is really good, athough it's not very 'remote' ! We need to be really close to her when programming her pump - I guess it's designed more for the pump user to be using the remote which gives you an idea of how close you need to be, but then I guess with your son being that much older this may be the case - ? Although I've highlighted this we don't actually find it a probem though. Because of the remote, her pump is tucked away and not at all visible. The other huge advantage of this pump is the support and training you receive from Advanced Therapeutics. This has been excellent. She's not long been on the pump but we are making such good progress and we are feeling so much more positive about her future. This pump definitely works for us - I can't compare to other pumps (apart from what I've researched) because the area we live in is so in the dark ages as concerns pumps that I've never met anyone else with a pump - even my GP thought that pumps were still only in the trial phase - ???!!!
Good luck
x
