My BGs after having an apple with my lunch go up by about 2 points more than what I would normally have What I would like to know is that if I exercise after an hour and get my BGs back by about 2 points is that more dangerous than not having the apple . I only have the apple about 2x per week and I feel that it has other health benefits any ideas please

The way I see that is if you eat the apple, exercise at 1 hour, test again at 2 hours and the reading is the same as what it would be normally after lunch on the days you don't eat an apple then I can't see any real problem if the result is the same.

I don't know the answer to your question Carol, but if it were me, I'd have half an Apple 4 times a week instead and only send your BG up by 1 instead of 2!

The other half of the Apple will be fine as long as you squirt some lemon juice over the cut bit (jif lemon juice is ideal for ), wrap it tightly in cling film and keep it in the fridge. I do this all the time.
