I remember some time ago that gps were prescribing gym memberships.
At least I think I remember.

Is this still the case?
Am thinking of asking my dr if it is.

I thought mine did. But discovered that what mine was doing was simply making good use of an introductory offer of free gym n swim for 12 weeks.

I have just paid £275 for a years membership simply to extend the free three months worth.

Twice a week for a year for £275 seems good value.

If the GP's / NHS cannot afford to prescribe test strips for T2, very doubtful they will prescribe free gym memberships.

I know a few years go my GP was able to 'prescribe' access to my local authority gym and six gym /swimmingpool visits for free then another six at half price. I have no idea if they can still do that but i never heard of anyone taking them up on it.
